From its inception eight years ago AM Eyewear has evolved from a cheeky young upstart into a cult brand respected around the globe. AM Eyewear has grown its reputation both in Australia and internationally through its commitment to cutting edge designs crafted from the highest quality materials.
Ever since the first five-frame collection debuted in 2003 Ponnusamy has been unwavering in his desire to combine quality with individuality.
Each new collection is reflective of Ponnusamy’s many sources of inspiration. From his fast-paced life traveling and mingling with some of the worlds biggest rock stars to his mother’s collection of vintage sunglasses and photos from her days in the fashion industry. “People make these frames,” says Ponnusamy. “They are designed by hand, crafted by hand, polished by hand. They are packed by hand and they are only ever complete once you have worn them.”
